Read full postThere’s a zesty treat awaiting guests at the sublime Donnington Valley in Berkshire this Valentine’s Day. Boosting, repairing and deliciously nourishing. Here they explain what their Lemon and Mango Firm and Tone Wrap is and why it really works…
This collagen-boosting body wrap tones slackened skin, repairs sun damage and helps improve the look of stretch marks. Potent radiance enhancers immortelle, lemon and frankincense essential oils work to erase the appearance of imperfections and strengthen skin whilst combating wrinkles. This sculpting envelopment hydrates and moisturises too.
The treatment starts with a full body exfoliation ritual. The therapist uses powdered fruit seeds and spices to polish and soften the skin. They cover all areas of the body, then ask the guest to shower off the scrub before moving onto the next part of the treatment. This involves Decleor’s renowned back diagnostic massage, which they have used for almost 40 years. It is designed to relax muscle tissue and activate the flow of energy of the body.
A relax balm is then applied to the back of the legs, followed by an application of a Zesty Butter Mask. This is applied to the back, working down to the legs, massaging energetically. The same method of application then applies to the front of the body.
The therapist then cocoons the guest in a plastic sheeting and places an eye pillow. Ensuring the guest is warm and comfortable, they then perform a scalp massage for 15-20 minutes. There is also the option of including neroli oil on the hair.
Gently waking the guest, they unwrap them from the sheeting and direct them to the shower to rinse off the mask. The last step of the treatment involves the guest returning from the shower and the therapist applying a System Corps and Prolagene Gel to all areas of the body.
This is a Decleor treatment. Decleor prides itself on offering the most tranquil and luxurious spa experiences. All treatments are all based around pure aromatherapy essential oils.
The collagen-boosting wrap is designed to erase imperfections and strengthen beautifully toned skin. It restores and moisturises the skin all over for a smooth, firm and radiantly younger looking body.
All products used are essential oil based. The way they are administered is specifically designed to increase the effectiveness of the treatment.
We advise all guests to drink plenty of water afterwards to keep themselves hydrated and to continue flushing any toxins from the system.
This treatment is suitable for any guests looking to improve the texture and appearance of the skin. It’s also perfect if you want to relax with a treatment that’s extra special.
You should avoid this treatment if you have allergies to any of the essential oils we use in the products. It is also not suitable if you are pregnant, are undergoing treatment for cancer or have had surgery within the last six months. If you have any ongoing medical issues it’s advised that you speak to your doctor or contact the spa before you visit. Spa therapists will always go through a thorough consultation with you prior to the treatment and make adjustments if needed.
Experience this treatment as part of Donnington Valley’s Valentine’s Spa Break from £179.50 per person (minimum two people).
