Why it works … The Decléor Slim Effect Wrap

We caught up with Spa6 to talk about their Decléor Slim Effect Wrap to find out what it does and why it works!

What exactly is the treatment ?

The Decléor Slim effect wrap starts with an exfoliation of the body beginning with the legs, abdomen, chest and arms. The therapist will then remove the product using Decléor exfoliation techniques; with large sweeping gestures until the powder becomes dust and falls off.  The client will then be asked to turn over so this can be repeated to the back part of the body.  Once all of the exfoliation seeds have been removed the therapist will then apply AROMESSENCE DETOX Aromatic Massage Balm to the back and legs and perform the back massage, followed by the abdomen, arms, and chest.  The therapist will apply the Terre D’Epices mask to the back, arms, abdomen and breasts before wrapping the guest in plastic and a heated blanket.  We place an eye pillow on the eyes and perform a scalp massage for 10-15 minutes.  We then let the guest rest quietly for the remaining five to 10 minutes and then turn the shower on for the guest.  Finally we apply the Slim Effect Cream to the whole body.

Where does it come from?

The Decléor story started 40 years ago through the application of both passion and energy. At that time it was known as CLEOR (The Clé en Or or Golden Key that opens the Temple of Beauty), and its philosophy was “be more than skin-deep” with each initiative designed for the wellbeing of the body, the skin and the spirit.  It was an astonishingly holistic and cutting-edge approach in 1974!  This brand was initiated by a passionate and bold team consisting of a beautician, a doctor, a shiatsu teacher an aromatherapist and a physiotherapist, the latter being a pioneer in her field.  After a decade in business, CLEOR became DECLÉOR, marking a turning point for the brand.

What is it supposed to do?

It is naturally invigorating and detoxifying as essential oils are used to ultimate effect in this fat fighting and firming body envelopment. Combined with highly effective draining massage techniques, the potent wrap drains toxins and cleanses impurities to smooth the appearance of cellulite and refine overall shape.

Is there anything you do to enhance the effectiveness of the treatment?

We always offer post-treatment advice and recommended products and using those can really enhance the effects.

Is there anything you recommend clients to do pre or post-treatment to get the most out of it?

We recommend a course of at least six to get maximum benefit.

Is there anyone you particularly recommend the treatment for?

It’s great for anyone wanting a pre holiday boost or wanting to give a diet a little bit of a kick start.

Is there anyone who shouldn’t have this treatment and why?

It is not suitable for pregnant women and some products may contain nuts so you may wish to advise your therapist, however this will become apparent in your consultation before the treatment.
