Read full postCeltic Manor is an oligarch of the spa world that has been a longstanding favourite for Spabreaks.com and spa goers. Its high standards and vast variety of experiences allow it to morph from the place for group celebrations to romantic retreats, family holidays to corporate wellness. Here are just a few of the reasons we’re very much in love with Celtic Manor…
Having hosted the Ryder Cup in 2010, Celtic Manor’s golf courses, of which there are three, are amongst the favourites of devotees and are a real favourite amongst golfers.
Celtic Manor resort is enormous, with masses of rooms to stay in and a large spa making it great for groups. For example, they have 16 treatment rooms so you can all have treatments at the same time.
From crazy golf to Forest Jump (a treetop obstacle course) and a giant Connect 4, Celtic Manor hotel offers plenty of activities and entertainment for the whole family. A safe, welcoming and easy going environment, mum and dad have all the luxury they could ask for. Meanwhile, kids have lots of entertainment of their own as well as things to enjoy together like archery, forest walking and swimming.
For when you want to have spa treatments or a little time to yourselves. Childcare services ensure you can be safe in the knowledge kids are safe, sound and entertained, the hotel offers nursery care.
Taking the idea of a steam room to a whole new level. Celtic Manor spa’s Elemis Herbal Steam is a chamber where small lights mimic the constellations where you can have rasul-style treatments.
In recent years, the spa added a Champagne and Beauty Bar. It’s the ideal place to indulge in a glass of Champagne or sip a cocktail while enjoying some heavenly pampering. You can even choose to go VIP with exclusive use for you and your friends.
Rural as it appears, the hotel is just a short distance off the M4 and 45 minutes from Cardiff making it easy to get to but also easy to explore from on longer breaks.
The hotel is known for its three golf courses, which of course make up much of the surrounding landscape. However, beyond that, it is set in 1400 acres of park land and Wales’ picturesque Usk Valley.
In keeping with the theme of abundance, the hotel offers a wide variety of options when it comes to dining. In fact, there are seven restaurants at the resort. They range from Steak on Six, their award-winning steak restaurant, to their signature offering Newbridge on Usk, a riverside inn.
The resort really is for everyone, and the accommodation options reflect that. There are three hotel options on site, as well as world class lodges within the resort grounds. The chance to tailor the holiday you want, whether visiting as a couple, with friends or family, is endless.
