It’s a longstanding favourite of those who choose to visit, but in the summer months Celtic Manor really comes into its own with activities and entertainment for the whole family. Here’s a little taster of what you can expect…
Golf at Celtic Manor
Naturally, the hotel is best known for its golf courses. Having hosted the Ryder Cup in 2010, the three golf courses at Celtic Manor are amongst the favourites of devotees. Plus it frames the view from pretty much anywhere in the whole hotel.
Forest Jump for kids of all ages
If you’ve always longed to swing through the trees, Forest Jump is an adrenaline pumping adventure at Celtic Manor. Located in woodland on the Resort’s grounds, it is a combination of high and low rope courses, bridges, walkways, and challenging obstacles plus a daring pole climbing challenge for kids of all ages.
Adventure golf at Celtic Manor
Think crazy golf with a difference. Experience some of the most famous holes in golf including St Andrews, Pebble Beach and Augusta, or enter the dragon’s lair and float across the lake on a Celtic-inspired raft!
Laser combat to test nerve and skill
Shoot to thrill with this exciting family combat game. It’s an exhilarating test of skill, nerve and bravery using high-tech laser guns - just what every family needs. Featuring a wide variety of games, it includes elimination, zombies and team challenges.
Archery - it’s all about precision focus
For anyone from the age of six years old, archery in this beautiful setting is a chance to challenge yourself and your precision skills.
Pitch and putt family fun
Built as part of the 2010 Ryder Cup Legacy to encourage more people to have a go at golf, the Resort’s par three pitch and putt course is ideal for juniors, newbies, or families looking for fun.
Fishing - peace and quiet at Celtic Manor
Guests have the opportunity to fish for salmon, brown trout and sea trout on the nearby River Usk. Their experienced ghillie is able to guide you in the skills required to fish this dramatic tidal river for salmon and sea trout, depending on the time of year.
Forest Nets for treetop adventures
Families love climbing through the canopy as you navigate a maze of nets in an adventure playground in the trees. From the smaller chamber for young adventurers from two years upwards, to the giant bounce zone with its forest lookout, vertical slides and ladder tubes, net ninjas of all ages can experience the thrill of an amazing bird’s eye view from the safety of the large enclosed Forest Nets, high in the treetops.
Rock Reactor - rock climbing with a difference
Light guides the way, sounds and music creates presence and atmosphere and the wall responds to your actions! By combining a standard climbing wall with technology from computer games, this gives experiences built on physical activity and the use of multiple senses.

Of course if you’re tired after all that or you want to leave the kids to it entirely, there’s the beautiful Forum spa at your service - with Elemis treatments, saunas, steam rooms, spa baths and a stunning relaxation pool overlooking the Rooftop Garden.
