Famous for their organic seaweed baths and subsequent line of seaweed based skincare and spa treatments, VOYA has introduced their Cancer Wellness Training Programme for spas, enabling therapists to offer their unique and beautiful therapies to anyone living with and beyond cancer. Here, brand co-founder, Mark Walton explains what VOYA Cancer Wellness and how it supports cancer patients.
VOYA Cancer Wellness is an advanced training programme designed to empower therapists to deliver all VOYA treatments in a safe and comfortable way for clients living with and beyond cancer. The programme was designed with the help of some of the world’s leading professionals in wellness and oncology massage therapies, allowing therapists to achieve a CIBTAC recognised qualification. The training opens up the full menu of VOYA spa treatments to all clients, allowing them to enjoy facials, scrubs, wraps, massages and bathing therapies. VOYA Cancer Wellness is all about making the spa experience inclusive rather than exclusive.
As you relax and enjoy your treatment you should not be able to tell how your treatment differs from any regular experience. Your therapist will have made adjustments unique to you and your journey to ensure you are comfortable and safe throughout your treatment.
The power of seaweed runs through all VOYA products allowing them to calm, soothe and hydrate. Your therapist with work with your individual needs to select the products that are just right for you.
VOYA believes that everyone affected by cancer deserves safe and effective treatments within spas. VOYA Cancer Wellness training ensure that therapists are educated on how to work safely with guests who are currently receiving chemotherapy, radiation, targeted therapy and immunotherapy treatments. As well as those in remission and beyond cancer who may still need slight treatment adjustments due to damaged or removed lymphatic nodes.
The therapeutic benefits of spa treatments for cancer patients and survivors can be enormously helpful for their wellbeing. We believe that anyone who has been touched by cancer should be able to have the same deep relaxing day at a spa as anyone else. To help release stress and worry at a time when they are dealing with physical and emotional stress is hugely important.
You can try VOYA Cancer Wellness treatments at Eden Hall Day Spa, Hoar Cross Hall or Laceby Manor.
