Created by Abi Selby, Spabreaks.com is a spa booking agency working with more than 600 spa destinations around the world and arranging spa days and breaks for up to 12,000 people each week. From a small team of three, we have grown to a family of more than 90 members of staff with an office of knowledgeable spa consultants in Brighton. But those are just the numbers.
Changing the way spas are seen and experienced
Spabreaks.com's founding principle was to make the world of spa more accessible to anybody and everybody who wanted to go:
- We wanted to bring back the ancient purpose of spas as places of sanctuary for mind and body.
- We wanted to showcase the variety of spa experiences available to every individual, occasion, location and preference offering a variety of prices, locations, and options whether you are heading on a romantic break, a hen party or a detox retreat.
- We wanted to make it easy to choose what you want and to book it, which is why we don’t sell individual treatments - we sell complete packages listed by category, region and price point. We also offer a variety of booking options - over the phone, online, online chat and email.
- We wanted to make spas more accessible to anyone with a major health problem or disability, and work with industry leaders to make sure that anyone who had previously felt marginalised never feels that way again.
Over the past decade, that’s exactly what we’ve done, creating a spa break for everybody.

When we first began, it was in the heyday of the discount model. Groupon was flying high and with recession in full swing, a good deal was prioritised over customer service.
