At spas, respecting and embracing veganism has become a focal point, leading to new packages, products, treatments and menus that offer vegan spa choices.
Read full postFor those days that are all about total relaxation, The River Spa at Knightsbrook Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort has created the Ultimate Daydream Delight spa experience. Here’s what you can expect from the 90 minute spa treatment…
It’s a 90 minute spa treatment and it’s part of the Ultimate Daydream Delight package, which starts with time in the thermal suite. Most people spend about an hour there first, and it’s an important process before moving onto the therapy itself. The treatment includes a back, neck and shoulder massage, a Comfort Zone mini facial, a hot stone foot and calf massage, hand and arm massage and a scalp massage to finish. After that you go into the relaxation room where there are lots of herbal teas to choose from, and once you’re fully rested there’s afternoon tea waiting for you in the main hotel.
All our packages are designed by us and this treatment is also specific to the River Spa. The massage techniques are from our amazing in house trainer. The products we use depend on the guest and what they want to achieve. We use a mixture of the Comfort Zone oils, but the point about this treatment is that it’s tailored to the individual.
The main aim of this spa treatment is total relaxation. It’s just such a nice treatment which pays attention to the whole body, so it’s really all about focusing on that.
Yes, enhancing the effectiveness of the treatment and really extending the relaxation process is the reason we packaged it up with use of the thermal suite first. It really turns it into a spa journey.
The main thing is just to continue relaxing afterwards rather than rushing off to something else. We recommend coming in later in the day rather than first thing in the morning, so that afterwards you can go home and have a sleep. Don’t rush back into life. Also, if you can, keep the oils on your skin for as long as possible to really let them work.
It’s for everybody, it’s even fine during pregnancy. We have a lot of mums joining us at the moment as the kids have gone back to school which is great. It’s also obviously beneficial for anyone who’s feeling stressed.
It isn’t recommended for anyone who’s going through cancer treatment or who’s recently had surgery. If you have allergies to any of the oils however we can use a plain oil, so we can adapt it for the individual.
