If there’s one time you really need to be pampered it’s when you’re about to have a baby.  So here are Spabreaks.com’s top 10 prenatal spa day and breaks to make you feel like the glowing goddess that you really are!

Pennyhill Park Hotel and Spa

1)   Pennyhill Park Hotel and Spa, Surrey

The king of luxury UK spa days really comes into its own with its prenatal pampering thanks to a range of bespoke products and treatments to really make you feel looked after.  Staff are wonderfully attentive and are constantly looking for ways to update their signature Pea in a Pod treatment to make sure it’s the best mummy to be pampering around.

2)   Como Shambhala Urban Retreat, London

Taking inspiration straight from Thailand and bringing it to Park Lane’s Metropolitan Hotel not only do they have the best of techniques and products to make you feel utterly at ease and lighter than air, but they also have a special prenatal bed with a hole in it for your tummy so you can lie on your front without any discomfort… when was the last time you did that!?

3) Lough Rea, Ireland

Two hours from Dublin, Lough Rea is a highly romantic hotel spa that’s perfect for parents to be who want to enjoy some quality time together.  The Shore Island Spa is for those aged 18 and over, so it really is time to relax and unwind in luxury, particularly with their Mums Package Spa Day Special which includes a facial, thermal experience and afternoon the in the rooftop garden!

5) Raithwaite Hall Country Retreat, North Yorkshire

Raithwaite Hall is a pleasure to visit whether you’re pregnant or not thanks to the surrounding National Park, manicured gardens, and seamlessly fused sense of architectural old and new.  At meal times make sure you order proper, chunky chips, and for mums-to-be it’s all about the Aromatherapy Associates treatments.

5)    The Europe Hotel and Resort, Ireland

With their state of the art ESPA designed spa set in the tranquil countryside in County Kerry, The Europe is a complete oasis of calm where they also offer some of the most beautiful treatments, including a pre and post natal treatment designed to target areas prone to stress during pregnancy.  It’s all about easing muscle strain and supporting the baby all at once.

Intercontinental Dublin

6)   InterContinental Dublin, Ireland

In the leafy area of Ballbridge the InterContinental Dublin is a tranquil escape close to Dublin city centre.  Amongst the facilities the spa offers specialised pregnancy spa treatments combining massage and conditioning hair masks using the ESPA products as well as a wealth of experience to leave you feeling simultaneously relaxed and energized.  Trust us, we’ve tried it!

7)    Foxhills, Surrey

This decadent, five star, family friendly hotel and spa in Surrey is a longstanding favourite amongst Spabreakers because quite frankly it does everything perfectly.  That includes their Bump and Judy spa package available for mums-to-be, which includes a 75 minute massage, a 55 minute thermal pedicure and a two course lunch as well as use of facilities to make you feel on clound nine!

8)    Retallack Resort and Spa, Cornwall

Offering a 90-minute spa treatment for mums to be, the Retallack Spa in Cornwall is every inch the mini break to enjoy before your baby arrives.  Nestled between Newquay, Padstow and Wadebridge and surrounded by beaches and countryside it’s all about peace, quiet and pampering.

Norton House

9)    Norton House Hotel and Spa, Edinburgh

You wouldn’t think this hotel was so close to a city, sitting as it is surrounded by 55 acres of countryside.  In the original walled garden of this country house hotel the spa has eight treatment rooms and an Amber Lounge to relax in, while treatments use a joyful mix of Elemis and Ishga products – a range made from Hebridean seaweed.  They offer a Classic Mother to Be spa package complete with manicure, facial and pedicure … the tough part is choosing between elevenses or afternoon tea!

Ardencote Manor

10) Ardencote Manor Hotel and Spa, Warwickshire

In a former Victorian Coach house in the grounds of Ardencote Manor is their beautiful spa, ready and waiting with yoga and Pilates classes, pools, relaxation areas and those all important spa treatments to unqind in.  It’s a classic Spabreaks.com favourite, especially for mums to be.
