Spa & Leisure

With the grand city of Edinburgh and 55 acres of countryside as its neighbours, Norton House boasts one of Hand Picked Hotels’ signature spas, meaning it has a bespoke design for excellence and provides the ultimate space for calm and relaxation. Sunken in the original walled garden, it offers eight treatment rooms, a Rasul mud chamber, manicure and pedicure area, relaxation room and Amber Lounge all designed to help you reap the benefits of spa therapies.

Many indulgent treatments are available from our experienced therapists utilising Elemis and Ishga, a range of organic skincare products made from Hebridean seaweed. The hard part however is to decide which one to opt for.

Hotel & Accommodation

Norton House creates a striking first impression: an elegant blend of the classic and the contemporary. Originally owned by the Ushers, the family behind Glenlivet Whisky and the Ushers Brewery, the house still has the appearance of a private country home. The venue constitutes a former manor house blending 16th and 17th Century architecture and housing 83 rooms, the majority of which are situated in contemporary additions to the estate.

Norton house has a charming, informal Brasserie ( as well as 24-hour room service), and caters for all dining requirements. Throughout the hotel a traditional atmosphere without a trace of stuffiness is flawlessly maintained, ensuring a memorable visit.
