Fowey Hall in Cornwall has long been a favourite destination, combining the best of luxury and family-friendly relaxation in one of the most beautiful corners of the UK. Now, the Victorian mansion which is famously the setting for classic children's book The Wind in the Willows, has gained even more reasons to visit following a multi-million pound refurbishment and expansion.
Extra room for relaxation
Establishing itself the as the Luxury Family Hotels collection flagship and one of the leading family hotels in Cornwall, this latest phase of work included the addition of 24 new rooms and suites, a brand new outdoor pool with an unrivalled view and the enhancement of the existing spa to include a relaxation room and terrace.
New luxury suites
Of the new rooms and suites that have been added, there are two worthy of a name drop - the Lantic Bay Suite and Polruan Suite. Sitting atop the renovated spa, these suites boast commanding sea views from private, elevated balconies. Inside, the rooms promise
contemporary luxe interiors with a consciously ‘quiet’ approach to detailing that showcases bespoke local craftsmanship. A new outdoor pool with unrivalled views of the Fowey estuary and the sea beyond has also been added to the property.
Even more spa experiences
The final area to be re-imagined has been the spa, which now features a relaxation room alongside the existing indoor swimming pool, both of which open out onto the new spa terrace. For the ultimate indulgence, a choice of Bramley and ishga spa treatments can be booked.
