Food that's made to be shared
Food and drink at the hotel provide something for every time of the day, whether it's a three-course dinner or sharing platters and craft snacks. Almost everything is from nearby farms, dairies and hives, and drinks are creative, ranging from local brews to cocktails. In a quirky twist, the bar celebrates Yorkshire's heritage with a steam train running along the cornice.
Wellbeing at No.1 by GuestHouse York
The spa at No.1 by GuestHouse York has a rustic/luxe vibe to it thanks to the combination of warm colours, exposed brick and copper details. It's a small space dedicated to pampering and relaxation, so there are no wet facilities like a sauna or pool, but there is a relaxation room and five treatment rooms. The spa has clearly chosen its treatments carefully, opting for the Pinks Boutique product line, which is known for its pure, vegan, organic, sustainably-led and ethically-sourced ingredients.
