Hi Karina...I just wanted to write to you because we, as a couple, are not hard to Please but unfortunately we did find a couple of things that we were disappointed with. On the good side, the room was beautiful and one of the best we have stayed in. My wife really enjoyed the SPA and could not fault the service. Our meal was in the Italian Restaurant and was very nice and the staff were very helpful / friendly. We had a couple of drinks in the bar that evening and again found the staff to be very helpful / friendly and the surroundings were very relaxing, which was just in keeping with the weekend. Unfortunately, the breakfast service left us down and was very disappointing. We had to ask for a couple of things (tea / toast / cutlery)on a number of occasions and just felt "it was all over the place" and no order. We couldn't fault the breakfast but just didn't think the service was up to standard. Then, when paying the bill, I was given the full bill for the stay, even though I had paid up front. This was very embarrassing because even though I explained myself on a couple of occasions, I kept being told that no payment had been received. I had to stand at reception for 10 minutes, until it was finally rectified. There was no apology given and as I said, the embarrassment of me having to stand and explain myself, in front of other customers, left a very bad taste and also left me very disappointed. This was a pity because we do not get away from the kids too often and we were looking forward to it so much but we left very disappointed.
As I said, I am not a person to complain and I am a very patient person when it comes to certain things but just felt that the overall experience was not to the standard we had expected.
