Nexus Resort Karambunai, located 30km North East of Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, nestles on 65 acres of lush landscaped surrounds on the Karambunai Peninsula, upon the fringes of a 6km pristine white sand beach, with a million year old tropical rainforest and the distant majesty of Mount Kinabalu as its backdrop. The resort as a whole offers a wide variety of leisure options, including three swimming pools, stand up paddle boat, body boarding, surf boarding, ocean kayaking, jungle trekking or simply relaxing on the beach. For total relaxation however, the Borneo Spa is the place to go, with separate male and female Jacuzzis, saunas and steam baths, a health bar and rustic cabanas on the resort’s beach front offering an alternative alfresco massage environment.
The spa is based on the story of a stranded prince and princess who were healed from time at sea by a local herbalist, and it was created to continue the legendary treatment of using aromatherapy and essential oils to rejuvenate tired minds and bodies. As such, therapies are delivered in an array of rooms, two of which are dual suites and seven of which have their own private showers as well.
