At a glance
The dual treatment rooms alone make this a perfect destination for a couple’s getaway, but the surrounding and romantic metropolis will only add to the feeling.
Centred in the heart of Lisbon, you will be hard-pressed to find yourself at a loose end. The metro is a mere 170 metres away, and Portela Airport is just 6.8 km away.
The hotel can host most events. With four rooms available and the capacity to hold a total of 150 people, the rooms are equipped with Wi-FI, Internet, and audiovisual equipment.
With an exclusive shopping district nearby, and the entire city to discover, the spa will welcome you after a hard day of experiencing the Portuguese culture.
Porto Bay Liberdade is just 15 minutes from Lisbon Airport.
A baby-sitting service can be arranged but is not always available.
Spa & Leisure
SPA at Porto Bay is the last word in health and well being, and is there to help you cleanse and recuperate, then ease you gently back in to life. The facilities include four treatment rooms – two of which are dual – a sauna, a Turkish bath, a relaxation area, a gym equipped with six exercise machines, an indoor pool – complete with hydro-massage and whirlpool, and a relaxing garden next to the pool.
Using products from the deluxe product houses, the treatments available at the spa are as impressive as they are invigorating. The effectiveness of essential oils is a key ideal they wish to encourage, highlighting the fact that essential oils have been used for years for their aromas and natural healing powers. Smell is the most primitive of our sense, and this is something SPA takes on board as they accompany you on a sensory journey to relaxation.
Hotel & Accommodation
The newest five star venue to be added to the Porto Bay family, the accommodation at Porto Bay Liberdade promises comfort and timelessness. Found in the centre of Lisbon and surrounded by high-end international shopping brands, the boutique hotel offers a certain charm and friendliness that will inspire you to stay longer. The rooms are spacious, and mostly come with verandas to admire the beating heart of the city. The types of room available vary from classic, to suites, some of which are adjoining, as well as some of them being adapted for people with reduced mobility.
When experiencing different cultures, it’s important to get that traditional taste that you can’t find back home, which is something Michelin starred Chef Benoît Sinthon understands. He brings a variety of flavours from regions in Portugal, particularly Madeira, to produce something truly unique and delicious. Bistrôt 4, supervised by Chef João Espirito Santo, brings the concept of ‘bistronomie’ to life – the comfort and informal elements of a bistro, combined with high quality and fresh food prepared in front of you. The top floor of the hotel features a terrace with a bar, Deck 7, that provides you with a chilled-out environment delightful city views.
