The Leisure Club at Roganstown Golf and Country Club has two distinct components; space for exercise, and space to wind down in the form of the Sakura Spa. In addition to the surrounding golf course, there is a gym monitored by the FitLinxx system to monitor your progress while you are there, a 17-metre pool, sauna, steam room, and a Jacuzzi.
The spa meanwhile is named after the Japanese word for ‘cherry blossom’, reflecting the Japanese garden in the grounds and the cultural ethos that sees the little flowers as a metaphor for life. Using the Elemis product house, they offer a collection of treatments and therapies as well as tanning, make-up consultations and finishing touches.
In a surprisingly rural setting for a hotel that is so close to Dublin Airport, Roganstown Golf and Country Club is five kilometres from the town of Swords, and has all the charm of a manor house complete with views of the surrounding golf course and Japanese-style courtyard, but with the added convenience of only being 11 miles from Dublin itself.
The hotel’s McLoughlins restaurant, complete with its wood panelled décor and welcoming vibe, serves locally sourced produce in a menu of international cuisine, again offering with views of the grounds. There is also a bar area offering lighter meals and snacks throughout the day.
