Dating back to the 1700s, the site was originally a farm and family home, but in the 1970s to Telford Development Corporation who developed much of the land as a golf course, which opened in 1976. It became a private club in 1980, since changing hands a number of times until QHotels added the spa and hotel with the original buildings forming part of the hotel complex.

Offering a complete experience, the health club sits alongside the spa area, featuring a gym, exercise studios, a 15-metre pool, ice fountain, heated loungers, a sauna and a steam room, as well as offering children’s swimming times and lessons that are worth making a note of so that you can plan your day according to your needs.
The spa area itself has seven treatment rooms including two duo rooms, and a dedicated spa lounge to relax in after trying one (or several) therapies from a collection that includes facials, massages, manicures, pedicures and the QHotels Collection signature rituals. Finishing touches and a spray tan room are also available.
Treatments are only available for ages 16 and over. However, not all treatments are available for those under the age of 18. Children under the age of 16 need to be accompanied by an adult at all times.
