With summer holidays around the corner, where can you go for rest, relaxation, and entertainment that the whole family can enjoy? Here are some of the spa hotels that are best for families.

The family is at the heart of Fowey Hall in Cornwall. Also part of the Luxury Family Hotels collection, like its sister hotel, Moonfleet Manor, it invites parents and children to unwind together. The impressive Queen Anne mansion enjoys commanding views out to sea and is just a short stroll from Readymoney beach. It really has thought of everything for children, including outdoor play opportunities, children’s activities, a zip wire, and flexible mealtimes - for very little ones there is tea provided at 5 and 5.30.

Their child-friendly approach extends to the spa, which offers treatments for children and adults, but for parents looking to enjoy some alone time, there’s a crèche and babysitting service so you can have a treatment while little ones are taken care of. Luxury family spa breaks at Foxhills Club and Resort

Five-star luxury meets family-friendly facilities at Foxhills Club and Resort - a stylish but welcoming hotel and spa that aims to give every guest an exceptional experience. It clearly delineates family time and adult-only time, whilst also providing space to relax together.

There's a crèche and registered babysitters available, woodland trails and camp building, a games room with pool, table football, board games, darts and video gaming, an adventure playground, and a junior playground.

For kids, the world is your oyster, enjoying inflatables and slides around the pool, children’s menus in the restaurants, and an on-site activity centre. Cot beds are available, and literally acres to run around in. Kids under 16 stay for free when sharing a room with an adult, children under four eat breakfast for free with a paying adult, and for those who want to venture out, local attractions offer a chance to explore the history of the area at Hadrian’s Wall and Alnwick Garden and Castle.
