The spa and leisure club at Inglewood House are nothing short of luxurious and are only open to those aged 16 and over, with anyone under 18 requiring adult supervision. There’s a fully equipped gym with cardio and strength training equipment and personal trainers available, and of course the grounds themselves are brimming with feel good factor. The spa itself however, hinges on the thermal suite which includes a heat experience, sauna and steam room and tiled hot beds.
There’s a large outdoor hot tub, and a wide collection of spa treatments offering face and body therapies, manicures and pedicures before you retire to the relaxation room where essential oils and music help you to drift off. The spa also has its own lounge and dining room to have hot and cold drinks, light snacks and freshly made cakes before or after your treatments as well as a good chat with friends.
Set in 25 acres of beautiful Scottish countryside, Inglewood House is a gorgeous Jacobean mansion that was completed in 1901 and started life as a luxurious family home. It is just 10 minutes from the historic city of Stirling and 40 minutes from Edinburgh, but the hotel is all about total escapism in fairytale surroundings, making it the perfect spot to unwind and relax. The interior of the building is as awe inspiring as the outside, with design by the same company who are famed for their work at Skibo Castle in the Scottish Highlands. There’s no such thing as a normal bedroom here, each room is a luxurious and individually designed suite.
There are three dining experiences at Inglewood House, each with its own charm. There’s the main Forrester’s restaurant, a newly restored conservatory which leads onto a large patio overlooking the gardens, or for special occasions there’s luxurious private dining available. The atmosphere is relaxed but smart, the food is fresh and has a homely Scottish vibe, and the whiskies, ports and cognacs are definitely worth a try!
