Spa & Leisure

With 140 years of health-dedicated history behind it, Crieff Hydro welcomed its first guests in 1868 under the guidance of Dr. Thomas H. Meikle and his Victorian assertion that a dip in freezing cold water had no end of benefits. Today the ethos has altered somewhat as have the facilities, but the goal and the presiding family, now in its fifth generation, have remained the same.

Facilities include a gym, and sitting separately, the spa is an adult only area encompassing a pool, spa bath, sauna and steam room, and using BABOR and Aromatherapy Associates products, there is also a collection of treatments available alongside a hair salon.

Hotel & Accommodation

Set in 900 acres of grounds, Crieff Hydro is a historic hotel in the Scottish countryside, which thanks to a longstanding history in hospitality and extensive renovations in recent years, pays careful attention to providing activities and facilities for guests of all ages and preferences – so fittingly, while the exterior is that of a Victorian country house, rooms are contemporary and range from Standard Rooms to Family Suites and Studios with self catering accommodation available as well.

Continuing with the all-encompassing theme, there are also six dining options for guests including the fine dining Meikle (named for the location’s founder); the relaxed Brasserie; Piccolo (our very own slice of Italy); Clubhouse (welcoming everyone including the dog); the Winter Garden for teas, coffees, soups and scones; and the Hub - breakfast on the go to burger and a beer!
