Hotel & Accommodation

Nestled among ancient trees, within the granite walls of one of Ireland’s most renowned estates, you’ll find Powerscourt Hotel Resort & Spa. With 200 guest rooms including 93 suites, and 36 holes of championship golf, the resort is a complement to the formal gardens of historic Powerscourt Estate in County Wicklow, just 30 minutes from Dublin. The Great Sugar Loaf Mountain is visible from this five star hotel, and it’s worth taking some time to enjoy the views of the valley from the seven storey building.

Dining at Powerscourt comes with three options. You can try the Sika Restaurant, named after Japanese deer introduced to the estate in 1860, which provides local and seasonal dishes – and offering foodies the opportunity to eat in the kitchen to observe the chef at work. Alternatively The Sugar Loaf Lounge provides light meals and cocktails in a relaxed environment, or try their afternoon tea for something special. Finally there is the option of McGills Irish pub for some good old fashioned dining and drinking with a rustic backdrop reminiscent of yesteryear.
