Nestled into the walled gardens, the Sawcliffe Manor - Natural Spa has a reputation all of its own for its unique experiences and treatments. Handcrafted in wood by local craftsmen, the architecture alone gives you an insight into the one-of-a-kind nature of this destination. The Natural space invites you to truly slow down and unwind - there's no chemicals or electricity, just fresh water and the incredible antiseptic and healing qualities of wood.
Spa sessions are pre-booked and invite you to enjoy two- to three-hours of dedicated wellness in facilities that are treatments in their own right. They include access to a wood fired larch wood tub, which takes the team seven hours to prepare, heating 1700 litres of fresh water by hand. The Estonian Iglu-sauna is enjoyed whilst being served natural electrolyte water, tapped from pine trees. You will also be equipped with a sauna kit, a gorgeous essential oil sauna infusion and handmade wool sauna hats - there's an ice bucket experience that follows. Another favourite feature is a Cleopatra style milk and calendula flower copper hot tub. All that and more, with sweeping views of the countryside and a ready supply of herbal teas.
To top off the experience, natural cosmetics from around the world deliver that extra touch of pampering, from natural Greek 'argila' face-masks to Moroccan Beldi soaps (made with Argan oil), handmade rose soaps, as well as natural shampoos and conditioners, to name a few.
