How do you get to The Greenway?

For those driving, from London you can take the M40 towards Oxford or the M4. From the dual carriageway, take the exit marked A46 Cheltenham/Stroud and follow the A46 to Cheltenham. The Greenway is approximately one mile on the right hand side. It's less than a 10 minute drive from the M5. There's free parking on site, and the nearest station is Cheltenham Spa, which is five miles, or 15 minutes away by car.

When was The Greenway built?

The house now known as The Greenway Hotel in Gloucestershire was built between 1584 and 1616. It was a Tudor mansion and has retained much of its original charm, becoming a hotel in 1947.

An Elizabethan manor house on the outskirts of Cheltenham, The Greenway is a four-star hotel with 17 rooms and suites. It's set in eight acres of private gardens, and the Garden restaurant has two AA rosettes for its traditional British fare. The Orchard Brasserie is a more modern affair, located in the Elan Spa itself.

• The hotel does not have designated accessible rooms, but certain requests can be accommodated
• The Restaurant is situated on the ground floor with access via a stone floored corridor
• Menus are available in large print
• Assistance dogs are welcome
• The corridors are well lit
• Access to the lounge, bar, dining room and the spa are all situated on ground level
• The spa can be accessed from the main hotel through a ground floor corridor and through the brasserie
• The spa has its own car parking space available a short distance from the main entrance to the spa
• The spa is accessed by a small ramp to the main entrance
• Access to the spa reception is on the ground floor and directly through a small corridor
• All spa changing rooms and the disabled toilet is situated on the ground floor
• The access to the pool, treatment room and the gym are all on the ground floor

Check-in at The Greenway is at 3pm and check-out is 11am. Spa opening times are 7am to 9pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 8pm at weekends. It is suggested you check your specific arrival times however for your spa break, as well as any changes for bank holidays.
