Set within a Grade I listed Georgian townhouse in the picturesque town of Bath, The Royal Crescent Hotel & Spa is part of an architectural masterpiece created by John Wood, and is the stuff postcards are made of. With 45 rooms featuring restored antiques, the design transports you to a bygone age of glamour but with all the modern convenience of luxury travel. The Bath-based design firm Woodhouse & Law has been refurbishing the historic Royal Crescent Hotel & Spa in phases since 2023, transforming key areas like the lobby, drawing room, suites, and event spaces with contemporary, vibrant design while respecting the original architecture. This includes a collection of new-look bedrooms ranging from cosy attic spaces to grand suites, and Garden View rooms featuring green and blue palettes that echo the views beyond. Introduced in 2023, Montagu’s Mews is the hotel's bar and dining experience, serving fresh, local ingredients, elegant style and flawless service. It is inspired by the original resident of No. 16, Elizabeth Montagu, who was host of the Blue Stockings Society, writer, salonière and advocate for women’s education. As such, the restaurant has an 18th-century salon vibe with superb fare served up by Head Chef Martin Blake and his dedicated kitchen team.
