The hotel is considered a rather unique gem on the west coast of Portugal. It was designed by yoo Studio (super modern and ultra chic), but still manages to be comforting and friendly. Plus, for anyone who’s looking for a little respite from urban buzz, it’s really quiet, which is bliss.
The setting is pretty awesome. We have mentioned the ocean and lagoon, but you’ve also got a whopping 336 acres of land surrounding the hotel, which probably explains why it’s so wonderfully peaceful.
All that said, it’s only 45 minutes from Lisbon (retail therapy here we come), and the area itself is also blessed with some pretty awesome UNESCO World Heritage sites and national monuments if you fancy a spot of sightseeing.
You can’t really mention the hotel without talking about the golf course. For anyone not interested in the game, it simply adds to the beautiful surroundings and the peace and quiet, but for those who fancy their chances as the next Rory McIlroy, the on site course is your oyster.
