Afterwards, you can head to the relaxation room, and there’s also a conservatory to spend time in enjoying the company of a friend or partner, or simply reading a good book.
Situated amongst 350 acres of glorious Scottish countryside, Gleddoch Golf and Spa Resort is a charming country house hotel that makes you feel a million miles away from anywhere, despite being just 20 minutes from Glasgow. A historic building on the outside, refurbishment in recent years means that inside it’s got all the trappings of modern hospitality. It has 10 rooms and suites so it has an intimate feel, each with their own sense of style but never wavering from plush materials and characterful pops of colour. Choose from Classic and Executive Rooms or even Junior Suites.
Dining at the hotel is also a well considered treat. The restaurant, VISTA, serves a menu of distinctly Scottish provenance, with local fish, vegetables and meats alongside panoramic views of the grounds. Meanwhile indulgent afternoon teas in the Camellia Lounge and light bites at The Nineteenth Bar are also very much part of the experience. The evening wouldn’t be complete without a whisky by the fire in the Dram Whisky and Gin Bar either.
