- How do you get to the Spa at Charlotte Square?
The Spa at Charlotte Square is situated in the heart of the New Town in Edinburgh, a UNESCO world heritage site. The nearest train station is Edinburgh Waverley Station and is only half a mile, or a 15-minute walk, from the hotel. It has direct service to the London King’s Cross railway station. Getting a taxi from the station takes approximately five minutes.
For those who are driving, the hotel offers a valet parking which must be reserved in advance directly with the hotel by contacting concierge@kimptoncharlottesquare.com and is available for the price of £45 per 24h period. Should you be driving an electric car, they also have Electric Vehicle Charging Stations available for guests at a cost of £20 per charge.
Alternatively, street parking is free between 6:30pm and 8.30am every day, and on Sunday parking charges apply from 12.30 to 6.30pm. Outside of these hours there is a maximum parking time of three hours for £5.00 per hour. They also have a relationship with the NCP Car Park at Castle Terrace, Edinburgh, EH1 2EW which is a seven-minute walk from the hotel. Before departure they can give you a ticket, which will discount the price at the machine (price varies on the window of parking).
Edinburgh International Airport is just seven miles, or 25 minutes by taxi from Kimpton Charlotte Square Hotel. A typical fare is under £25 (this may be higher on public holidays).
There is regular tram service for £6 for a single trip, or £8.50 return, which takes about 40 minutes and stops at Princes Street West End.
