Leisure and relaxation at The Queens Hotel and Spa is a tale of two halves. The leisure club is a fitness experience complete with a swimming pool, sauna, steam room, spa pool, children’s paddling pool and gym. Children under the age of 16 are welcome to use the pool from 9.30am until 6.30pm but in the evening until 9pm, and in the morning for two hours from 7.30, it’s just for adults.

The Forever Gorgeous Day Spa and Clinic however, is an adult only space all the time. Tranquil and relaxing, this lower ground floor haven has nine treatment rooms, where therapists offer a range of face and body treatments, from indulgent facials to manicures, pedicures and waxing. There are also two lounges to retreat to before and afterwards, where you can continue your down time complete with a magazine and a cup of tea for as long as you need.

Here, rooms and suites are spacious and modern but cosy, ranging from standard doubles to deluxe suites with their own private lounge area.

The restaurant in the Alexander Suite is a convivial space serving up high quality, seasonal English cuisine with European favourites. Breakfast includes a full English buffet as well as a variety of continental choices. Meanwhile, dinner consists of a four course table d’hôte menu, which changes daily, as well as and a selection of a la carte dishes. The Garden Lounge is also available for lighter bites, drinks and afternoon teas. It’s especially good for an aperitif before dinner.
