The Vale Resort caters to both the exercise and relaxation elements of time out with facilities to suit all preferences and mind sets with a gym, squash and tennis courts, a 20 metre pool, sauna, steam room and spa bath.
Separating itself from the work-out vibe however is the spa, decadently offering six relaxation zones: a chill out zone; a water zone with water beds and water features; and an Indian-inspired sleep zone bedecked with lanterns and quilts. There are also 19 treatment rooms using a selection of products chosen to best deliver a wide range of treatments including the Temple Spa, as well as Clarins, and Jessica brands. The spa has also produced its own Maychang Halo product range for clients to enjoy at home, using Welsh sea salt.
Surrounded by 650 acres of Welsh countryside, the contemporary hotel is well positioned to escape from it all. A four star environment with 143 bedrooms, its appeal in terms of clientele is wide reaching given that accommodation ranges from deluxe rooms with balconies or terraces and views of the golf course, to family rooms as well as the scope of activities on offer.
As with everything at The Vale, the range of offerings when it comes to food and drink is far reaching – there is the AA Rosette awarded Vale Grill reflecting the best of quintessentially British and Welsh cooking, the Salamanza Champagne Bar – amusingly named after a 12 bottle capacity champagne bottle and reflecting a hint of the 1930s with a grand piano, modern art and a mirrored bar providing the backdrop. There is also the Vale Bar for light bites, teas and coffees, and the Golf Clubhouse.
