Why a spa break's more than a luxury: spa health benefits

Why it works … Swarovski Luxury Manicure or Pedicure

Adding a little sparkle to your manicure (or pedicure), St Pierre, a Marriott Hotel and Country Club, talk about their most decadent manicure yet …

What exactly is the Swarovski Luxury Manicure?

it’s a 90 minute treatment, which starts with an exfoliation on the hands with our Jessica La-Remedi scrub, which we then remove that with hot cloths, and massage in the La-Remedie Luxurious Hand Mask until absorbed.  We then move onto the cuticles, nourishing and removing any unwanted cuticle before applying the La-Remedie nourishing liposomes to the hand and arm.  Then we put the client’s hands into heated mitts to open the pores and help the oil to penetrate the skin.  After that we start to file and shape the nails and apply a Jessica polish of the client’s choice, finishing with the Swarovski crystals to give the nails a sparkly finish.

Where does it come from?

It’s a Jessica treatment and we have added it into our luxury manicure.

What is it supposed to do?

It’s a really nourishing treatment for the hands, arms, cuticles and nails and removes any dead skin cells.  You can also have it as a pedicure.

Is there anything you recommend clients to do pre or post-treatment to get the most out of it?

Afterwards, if it’s on your feet then try not to wear tight, enclosed shoes.  On the hands, normal hand care applies, and wear gloves when you’re doing housework.

Is there anyone you particularly recommend the treatment for?

If you have any parties, weddings, or special occasions coming up it’s perfect!  For holidays it makes for a lovely pedicure as well!
