What exactly is the Deeply Relaxing Lavender Floatation?
It is an intensive, 60-minute treatment to relax the mind and body. It begins with a skin softening exfoliation combined with powerful essential oils. Then, a nourishing wrap combined with healing lavender essential oils is applied to the skin to gently soothe, smooth, and de-stress.
Where does it come from?
As we are surrounded by lavender in the pretty town of Newmarket, we decided to incorporate it in our menu to create a wide range of unique treatments which are completely organic. Lavender has endless benefits to the skin, body and mind!
What is it supposed to do?
The warmth of the dry floatation will gently drift you into a state of tranquility as the treatment is specially designed to soothe the body and mind. As the heat penetrates into the body during the wrap, the muscles start relaxing which is quite relieving for people with chronicle pain or aches.
Is there anything you do to enhance the effectiveness of the treatment?
A good way to increase effectiveness of the treatment is by combining the wrap with a tailored body massage for an ultimate state of relaxation. Our lavender poultice massage, which is totally organic as well, is a good match. The treatment gives heat to muscles and joints to create an overall feeling of wellbeing.
Is there anything you recommend clients to do pre or post-treatment to get the most out of it?
We normally recommend our clients to drink at least two glasses of water prior to the treatment so they can eliminate more toxins during the wrap. For those who don’t want to complement the treatment with a body massage, we recommend they use our extended thermal area comprising a steam room, sauna, and hamman to help the body with the detoxifying process.
Is there anyone you particularly recommend the treatment for?
The lavender essential oil has calming and sedative effects on the body so we recommend this particularly treatment to people with stress related conditions or to those who are looking for an indulgent escape from their day to day routines.
Is there anyone who shouldn’t have this treatment and why?
The treatment is not recommended for pregnant ladies simply because the wrap could be uncomfortable for them.
