He says: the location is excellent. The incredible views over Loch Fyne as far as the eye can see were only made better by the friendly staff, huge rooms, and modern feel of the hotel.
She says: there is so much to like about this hotel! The location is absolutely beautiful for a start. The hotel looks over Loch Fyne which is really lovely and peaceful. As you walk in to the hotel you are greeted by a roaring open fire and really friendly, helpful staff. The rooms are spacious but have a cozy, homely feel to them, and you instantly relax when you walk through the door!
He says: I haven’t got much experience with massage rooms, but I liked this one! It had a nice atmosphere, and the therapists were really nice. The swimming pool was the thing that did it for me the most though, that was really excellent.
She says: the spa was great, although it was small it really lived up to my expectations. The shoulder, neck and back massages we had were a wonderful start to our weekend, followed by a dip in the Jacuzzi and some time in the sauna and steam room before dinner. It was also lovely to come back to the Jacuzzi after a long walk the next day.
He says: there was a really good atmosphere in the restaurant which was made even better when the food arrived! We had a taster menu, so got to sample lots of different things, and all in all it was delicious.
She says: the restaurant was big but again had a cozy feel to it because of the décor. The service was really attentive and the food was brilliant. We went for the tasting menu, which meant we got to try a whole range of different things. I really liked the fact that some dishes on the menu were influenced by the Scottish ingredients.
He says: the location is perfect. The town is a 5-10 minute walk – plenty of lovely cafés and shops. We walked to the castle and onto the hill, this takes a few hours but is lots of fun and ends in some stunning views.
She says: the hotel is a short walk from a little village, which has a little museum and some really lovely little shops and cafes. There is also a castle nearby and some great walking routes!
He says: as we’re a couple who were looking for an escape it was ideal for us, especially the remote location.
She says: I would definitely recommend it for couples looking to get away from everything and relax. Although phone signal is fine out there, I would advise everyone to tell those at home that you can’t get reception, and turn it off so you can enjoy the hotel and its surroundings without being disturbed!
He says: visit the surrounding area, make the most of the spa, and try the oysters at the Loch Fyne restaurant.
She says: book a treatment because it makes the whole experience really special, bring good walking shoes, and have a drink by the lovely open fire.
