The international gathering brings together leaders and visionaries to positively impact and shape the future of the global wellness industries, and will take place in Italy in October. The Technogym Village is a 37-acre campus designed to inspire and encourage a wellness lifestyle in terms of physical fitness, environmental sustainability, architectural wellness, mental well-being, the beauty of art, music and fashion. It was founded in 1983 by Nerio Alessandri, to be an innovative and integrative approach to the business of wellness, including his insights on technology.
With high profile speakers addressing timely issues, the spirit of the summit is one of shared purpose rather than individual gain, using the power of ideas to shape the future of the industry and bring together top-level decision makers from around the world.
This year, that focus is set to be focused around the current business landscape and future trends for the 10 segments that make up the global wellness economy. There will be keynotes, panels and roundtables in which delegates will discuss beauty, healthy eating, wellness tourism, fitness/mind-body, preventive/personalised medicine, complementary/alternative medicine, wellness lifestyle real estate, the spa industry, the thermal/mineral springs market and workplace wellness.
This will include emerging business opportunities across all wellness markets with traditional industry segments as well as a look at the ways that wellness is transforming massive industries like retail, fashion, design and architecture.
The 2018 Global Wellness Economy Monitor report will also be released and analysed at the Summit, offering an updated picture of the size, scope, trends and five-year growth projections for the global wellness economy – a report that has been intrinsic in investment in the industry, supporting the growth of wellness in business.
