It is only fitting for a venue as large and with such an international reputation as Celtic Manor that the spa is an all-singing, all-dancing health Mecca. As such, the spa has a range of facilities including a 20-metre pool overlooking the Rooftop Garden, a gym, enormous Jacuzzi, saunas, steam rooms, plunge pools and the Evergreen Nanny service to give parents a little time out.
The treatments are where it becomes notably special however, with 16 treatment rooms using the Elemis product line in a range of massages, facials, manicures, pedicures, scrubs, wraps and finishing touches. They also offer a Forum Spa collection of treatments including the Elemis Herbal Steam in a chamber where small lights mimic the constellations.
The Resort has recently added a Champagne and Beauty Bar the ideal place to indulge in a glass of champagne or sip a cocktail while enjoying some heavenly pampering. You can even choose to go VIP with exclusive use for you and your friends.
In the Usk Valley in South Wales, Celtic Manor provides luxury on a grand scale. A five-star experience with 330 bedrooms in the Resort Hotel, the design is contemporary and light, and key to its character are the three surrounding golf courses, for which the location is famed.
As you might expect from somewhere that is more of a small village than a hotel, there are several restaurants: The Olive Tree in the Resort Hotel serves all meals including breakfast and is invariably the dining domain of spa goers; Steak on Six, which is situated in a spectacular elevated setting on the sixth floor of the hotel, is the Signature dining option; and Merlin’s Bar is an altogether more relaxed affair. The newly opened Mulberry Bar with its sumptuous surroundings and decadent atmosphere is a hidden gem and the perfect place for an evening hideaway or pre-dinner cocktail.
