Mallory Court Hotel was first built in 1916 for James Thomas Holt, a notable cotton producer. When he died in 1936, the managing director of the Standard Motor Company took ownership and the house then served as a private residence for many years before ending being sold to Alan Holland and Jemery Mort in 1976. In 1995 the hotel received investment from hi-tech entrepreneur, Sir Peter Rigby, which then saw significant development including the introduction of the luxury spa which opened in 2017.

The Elan Spa at Mallory Court is a destination in its own right. Tucked amongst the trees within the picturesque gardens, there is a seductive sense of secrecy to it. The style is contemporary, light and purpose built, but it fits into the genteel surroundings perfectly. It has a range of intimate but carefully chosen facilities including the hydro pool and an outdoor vitality pool, which allows you to relax amongst nature.
Unwind in the thermal suite or sit back with a glass of Champagne in hand and watch the world go by as you have a manicure in the nail bar after a GAIA or Temple Spa treatment or two. The spa also has a rasul, which is a real favourite amongst couples for a treatment that can be experienced together. To complete the experience, the spa has its own restaurant, Sencha - a blissful culinary experience using local produce in Asian-inspired cuisine for feel-good factor with a unique Mallory twist.
