Formerly a private home called Heath Lodge, it was built at the beginning of the 19th-century and was purchased by Baron John Henry Schroder along with the Dell and 160 acres of land in 1864. In 2014 a total rebuild took place, respecting the traditional exterior of Jacobean architecture, and it was transformed into a contemporary, five-star hotel.
