What makes this an Elysium Collection spa?

Most loved by

Couples because of the unquestionable sense of romance and details that harp back to a bygone age of romance, but the size makes it a treat for sophisticated friends spending quality time together.

Wow-factor

The stately home was commissioned by Hugo Meynell Ingram and completed in 1871, and has retained many of its original, ornate features, which are just beautiful.

Best known for

Its five star credentials, from the food to the spa to the immaculate grounds - all making you feel a million miles from anywhere.

Exceptional spa feature

There’s so much to do both inside and out, although we are particular fans of the Snooze Room with its water beds and ability to give you the sense of five hours sleep in half an hour.

Hotel & Accommodation

Surrounded by 50 acres of grounds and gardens in the Staffordshire countryside, Hoar Cross Hall sits at the end of a winding driveway. Built in 1871, the Elizabethan manor house was commissioned by Hugo Meynell Ingram, whose family presence is still evident in the form of hand carved monograms in the ballroom, and has Jacobean overtones by way of turreted water towers, lofty gables, 48 chimneys and mullioned windows. The hotel has 96 bedrooms, all with the traditional sumptuousness of a stately home.

The hotel has two restaurants. One is in the former ballroom and is characterised by William Morris wallpaper, Sienna marble mantelpieces, and the 19th century ‘wedding cake’ ceiling. The second, Henry’s opened in 2021 and provides a luxe lounge vibe from breakfast all the way through to dinner. You can enjoy anything from healthy smoothies and hearty bowls to sweet treats and light bites in this convivial environment - there’s also dining on the terrace for sunnier days. Wherever you eat, vegetables are grown in the estate’s own greenhouses, and the menu from their award-winning head chef showcases local and seasonal produce.
