While London Marriott County Hall is deliciously traditional in many ways, leisure and wellbeing are fundamentally modern. The Club at County Hall provides guests with a range of facilities across the two top floors of the hotel. They include a gym with views across the Thames, an impressive 25-metre pool, single sex saunas, fitness classes and a relaxation lounge.
There is also an array of face and body treatments, ranging from facials to aromatherapy massages. It is a rare find to discover a hotel with such extensive spa and fitness facilities in the heart of London, but this is a place that perfectly blends a sense of luxury, tranquility and wellbeing.
Towering doors, high ceilings and an abundance of polished marble set the scene at London Marriott County Hall - the former seat of London’s government, but now a five-star hotel. Perched on the South Bank overlooking the Thames you can walk straight out to the London Eye, Big Ben and Westminster Bridge; it is the best of London both old and new. Outside, the architecture is timeless, while inside rich wooden features blend perfectly with contemporary soft furnishings and modern bedrooms are sympathetic to the traditional design of the building.
Dining at the hotel is a stimulating world of flavours, textures, and views of the Thames. The signature restaurant, Gillray’s Steakhouse and Bar, provides a casual setting characterised by contemporary artwork and jewel coloured fabrics. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, it is best known for its steaks and serves cuisine largely from British farms. It also has a selection of 100 gins and boasts a flair for handcrafted cocktails. In addition, the elegant Library serves an award-winning traditional afternoon tea - a must-have after a day of sightseeing.
