A Jacobean manor house, Redworth Hall dates back to 1693 when it was built as a family home. It has seen renovations and updates throughout its history, including significant work in 1744 by Lord Robert Surtees. It was owned by the Surtees family until 1955, and became a hotel in 1987 after serving as a school with more rooms added in 1989.
