Taking inspiration from the Cornish coast, spa and leisure at St Michaels Resort in Falmouth offers a contemporary and idyllic experience, following a multi-million-pound renovation in 2018. Spa and leisure sit separately. The health club includes a 350 square metre state-of-the-art gym, dedicated spin/rowing studios and daily classes. The spa, meanwhile, is a haven of relaxation, home to a Cornish sea salt steam room which infuses the local salt into the air to help reduce toxins and clear the lungs. It also has a large hydrotherapy pool complete with 21 massage stations and heated poolside loungers, a rainforest steam room, a glass-fronted Finnish herbal sauna, a Moroccan rhassoul offering a mud-steam experience and three experience showers. The journey then continues into the garden where there is a sundeck, red cedar-wood hot tub and a barrel sauna with sea views.
When it comes to treatments the space is equally well considered, with a deep relaxation room and specialist manicure and pedicure Champagne bar using OPI products, and 10 treatment rooms offering more than 60 different therapies as well as signature experiences from St Michaels Resort such as the Muscle Repair Massage and Mud treatment and The Yoga Facial, all using brands including Elemis, Made for Life Organics (handmade in Cornwall), The Natural Spa Factory, Ishga and Natura Bisse.
