Lovely spa set in a lovely hotel. Lunch was delicious.....vegan toasty with chunky chips. Very courteous staff. My only niggle was that the pool was too cold to swim in. But everything else was great.
My spa day was brilliant We didn't have any treatments or food so I cannot give a rating . But we had a great day very clean and staff friendly so will be booking again :)
Amazing, clean, luxury spa. The pool, sauna and steam room facilities were really good. The whole place was spotless and the treatments were professional and the therapists were the best I have had. They took their time and really made the experience special by doing such a good job. Highly recommended :)
Very pleased I chose this Spa to visit. Changing rooms were clean and tidy. Robe, flip flops and towels were provided which was a plus. My 60 minute Swedish massage was everything I had hoped for. Decent size pool and jacuzzi but water in the pool a little too cold for my liking. The afternoon tea I had as part of the package was delicious. We weren’t able to eat all the cakes but the staff were happy to box everything up so we could take the leftovers home. Everyone throughout the hotel were attentive and friendly. All in all a very relaxing and enjoyable Spa day.
A relatively short walk from the station but when arrived the doorman kindly told us there’s a regular hotel/spa shuttle bus as he escorted us through the luxurious hotel lobby and into the spa reception. Greeted by a friendly receptionists who apologised for the last minute changes with our bookings (more on that later).
Asked to fill in some basic info whilst seated in the beautiful waiting area, and then given robes and slippers as things were explained clearly and nicely.
Got changed and made our way to the good size pool which had a small warmer ‘relaxation’ pool at one end. There were several people already there including kids, and as some teenagers arrived shortly after (probably from the hotel) it got a little livelier – would be good to have been given a choice of an adults only session so that we could enjoy a more sedated and relaxing time. Nice sauna and steam rooms by the pool area. The changing rooms were very clean and spacious, although there were only 2 shower cubicles so had to wait a bit. There are also showers by the pool.
Was looking forward to the 1 hour Swedish massage in a twin room with my guest. However, my massage was very disappointing. If felt like the masseuse was either inexperienced or a trainee – the last minute change to our appointment due to ‘staff sickness’ led me to believe they struggled to find someone properly qualified/experienced and that this person was just filling in. I occasionally get deep tissue/sports massages and whilst I realise, they’re different the masseuse applied pressure so light (even after asking) that I hardly noticed she was there. My guest said hers was good but I could hear her massage more than I could feel mine.
Coffee, tea and pastries were a nice touch and the relaxation rooms were perfect.
Overall the venue and quality of the place were impressive, the staff were friendly and professional, an absolute credit to the company, but it was let down by a massage that was underwhelming and forgettable. Would I got back, possibly, but I’d ask reception beforehand for an experienced masseuse who doesn’t have feather lite touch.
We opted for the Swedish massage which was just lovely, it was a nice treat to have complimentary pastries, teas and coffee's after a relaxing massage. The staff are very professional, friendly and helpful. The spa it's self is very clean and maintained well.
I purchased the simply spa voucher which included the use of the facilities from 1 to 5 and a glass of Prosecco, herbal teas and fruits. The spa was beautiful and it was only us and few other people. Very nice experience we had a super relaxing day, the only thing is that we didn’t get the Prosecco and fruits.
My 3 friends and I had a simply wonderful time on the Twilight spa package. The hotel and facilities are first class. The spa beautifully appointed with a good swimming pool. Our treatments were all excellent and our meal afterwards was equally excellent. In addition every member of staff from the concierge who welcomed us, the spa staff and the restaurant staff were all so efficient and friendly. We were made to feel special and that it was important to them that we enjoyed our time there. Have already told several friends and hopefully will come again. Would recommend the break to everyone. Thank you.
Although the spa setting and afternoon tea were pleasant, the staff on the other hand were quite dismissive. It felt as if I was in school, and was spoken to like a child. We also had to prompt the staff on numerous occasions in regard to what we had requested. I don’t think they read our brief. It was an experience but now I’ve tried it, I’ll be looking for another spa experience.
