The Spa at Mandarin Oriental London

What makes this an Elysium Collection spa?

Best known for

Being the height of modern hospitality and wellbeing. A sophisticated destination where rooms and suites transport you to the golden age of travel, the food is a feast for the senses, and the spa fuses the best of holistic wellbeing and science-led health and fitness.

Most loved by

Couples - the opulent and carefully designed experience takes you from exquisite suites to exceptional dining and sophisticated wellness. If you want to make someone feel special, this is the place to do it.

Exceptional spa feature

The attention to detail. One of only two spas in the UK to be awarded Forbes Travel Guide Five Stars Spa 2019, everything has been carefully designed. Here there aren’t just exercise classes, there are custom curated experiences by world-leading practitioners. Treatments are a fusion of best practices honed to perfection and it’s all topped and tailed with facilities that work in harmony with therapies to enhance the experience.

Wow-factor

It’s really very difficult to choose just one element, but if we had to it would probably be the dining. The theatrical attention to detail at Dinner by Heston Blumenthal is an experience like no other, and if that doesn’t tantalise the tastebuds, the French bistro will.

Hotel & Accommodation

  • WiFi
  • Restaurant

At one of the most prestigious addresses in London, between the buzz of Knightsbridge and the royal parks, Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park fuses contemporary design and hospitality with timeless heritage. Following an extensive renovation under the guidance of designer Joyce Wang, the glamorous hotel is inspired by the Golden Age of Travel, a theme that flows through the rooms, suites and public areas. Accommodation ranges from superior rooms all the way to a collection of bespoke suites that each have their own design details and style. Throughout however, there is a distinctly modern take on art deco finesse, with carefully chosen details such as onyx chandeliers, marble bathrooms, leather topped desks and hand gilded mirrors.

Everything at Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park is a feast for the senses, so it is fitting that dining is almost a theatrical experience. The hotel has three outstanding restaurants, one of which has Michelin stars, and there’s a superb bar as well. Dinner by Heston Blumenthal is a seductive experience that takes you on a journey inspired by historic British gastronomy. Through floor-to-ceiling glass walls, diners enjoy a view of the kitchen in an environment inspired by a royal court. A spit rotates over a fire, custom-made porcelain wall sconces are in the shape of antique jelly moulds and views are of Hyde Park, King Henry VIII’s former hunting ground. Bar Boulud meanwhile is more chic bistro by Michelin-starred chef Daniel Boulud and specialising in seasonal, rustic French cooking. The Rosebery is the place for afternoon tea, and the Mandarin Bar is a cool, contemporary bar where you can unwind in style.
