There are perks that come with being located in the centre Nottingham, and Crowne Plaza Nottingham fully embraces them. With first rate shopping and an easy commute right on the doorstep, the spa is not the only appeal of the venue. Location aside, the bedrooms and suites at the venue concentrate on the importance of sleep as they bring you a soothing atmosphere to relax in.
Should you wish to stay inside the hotel for your meals, the Lace Maker restaurant will make your meal all the more enjoyable. With a great deal of choice, from dry aged steaks, to salads, and pasta, this restaurant can be your one-stop shop for breakfast lunch and dinner. The Swatch Bar and Lounge is a lively and informal bar that is an ideal area to relax in, as well as offering the choice to watch news or sport on their plasma screens.
This is difficult as we went during covid restrictions,so could only swim for 30 minutes and had to pre book, everything else was closed, we booked a swim for our second day but after our first experience we decided not to bother, we had to use a disabled changing room that was accessible by others, and when we went back to get changed there was another couple using the room, we couldn't find anyone to clean it before we went back in, so we got our clothes and went back to our room in our robes because we didn't want to use it. The treatment and therapists we found to be very good
I was very pleasantly surprised at the quality of the venue which looks outwardly dated but is lovely inside. The staff throughout the hotel and the spa were very attentive and created a friendly atmosphere. The clinicians were lovely and the deliciously smelling Espa products could be enjoyed throughout the day with Reed diffusers permeating the air. Lunch was delicious, a good choice and generous portions served with a smile in an atmospheric restaurant. The pool is small but adequate and the jacuzzi was eventually enjoyable. My only slight gripe was that the relaxation room was slightly on the cool side to feel cosy and the jacuzzi was under maintenance for a significant part of our stay which spoiled the pool area / limited our use of the facilities in between treatments. I would return without a doubt. It’s very easily accessible by bus and tram and is an oasis of tranquility fairly central to Nottingham City Centre. Better for small groups of 2 or 3 people.
Very relaxing couple days liked the fact you could use the facilities any time during your stay including check out day staff very friendly and helpful therapist excellent,only downside is would have liked a sauna .

Spa was amazing however not enough seats for how many people in the spa as well as people putting dressing gowns on seats and reserving them.
Wouldn't of been so bad if they didn't shut the relaxation room at 3:30 when we were there all day. Overall lovely experience but not enough chairs
The spa was lovely and we had a really nice experience there. However , a lot of our party thought there would be more seating around the pool area in order to sit down and relax etc. Maybe an improvement for the future? Relaxation room was lovely . Overall very happy!
Everything was nice apart for timing of the treatment, it was booked 2 half an hour treatment , but the therapist inly spend between 20 to 25 minutes which was bit disappointed
The spa was lovely and clean, towel, gown and slippers provided at no extra charge. The steam room and jacuzzi were lovely. Overall it is very small and I imagine at busy times it could get quite overwhelming! They could do with more seating but I would guess that there isn’t really the space. I would suggest going on a Sunday-Monday if you can or a week day as we did and it was lovely and quiet.
The spa was amazing with fantastic staff that were friendly and helpful.
The only problem we had was that the steam room wasn’t working-this was attempted to be fixed while we were there-and a group of guests -not the staffs fault-treated the pool area more like a leisure centre than a calming spa.

Great deal we got for an amazing price
Our Spa experience started off by being told the changing rooms were closed off and the treatments rooms were also closed. The treatments therefore carried out in bedrooms within the hotel. We asked if we could change our treatments from Facials to a back, neck and shoulder massage. The girl on the Spa reception said it wasn't a problem and would change it for us. When we went for the treatments we were then told it was a facial as they had cap on how many massages they could do within a day. The treatment itself was very good, albeit in one of the hotel bedrooms. One of the party asked if she could go to the toilet in the treatment room and was absolutely disgusted in the state of the toilet. The Spa facilities were a little disappointing, two chairs in the corner of the spa - no sun loungers around the pool. Overall, very disappointing as this was a birthday weekend booked as a surprise for one of our friends.
Was not happy about not being able to use changing rooms and having to go to the 4th floor for treatments in bedrooms the robes need to be bigger as was embarrassed walk though the bar to the pool and treatments. We had to keep saying we are on the spa break which made us feel like second class citizens was not happy at all
The hotel was gorgeous. The food far exceeded my expectations and I would definitely return. I was only disappointed that the spa itself wasn’t bigger with more relaxation seats around the pool ... space is very limited. I also would have liked a sauna in preference to the steam room. Both would be even better. Also people hogged the lounges in the waiting area for the treatments ... so I stood waiting for my treatment in a corridor which isn’t ideal. To be fair to the spa there were signs asking people to limit their stay in the lounging room, but clearly not policed ... selfish people rather than the fault of the spa staff. Staff were all lovely. I will definitely return. Thank you.
The spa facilities are great everything is very clean the staff are really friendly and really helpful. We had a neck shoulder and back massage and it was very good. We also had the light lunch which was a buffet with salad and pasta and jacket potatoes which was really nice. I will definitely return.
Every one of the group of six friends feel that this experience was excellent value for money. There was everything in the room that you needed and the room was clean. The staff were polite, friendly and helpful. We were on the top floor with a good city view and quick and easy access via the lifts. The meals and quality of the food was excellent and all food and drink prices were reasonable.
Super good friendly staff the treatments were fantastic never felt so relaxed ! We quite pleased we went offpeak because it’s quite small hate to dread what it would be like really busy. I most definitely will come back.
We had a lovely day out, but felt that the facilities themselves were a bit tired - especially the pool area. There were tiles missing around the spa and not very clean.
The therapists and treatments were lovely and they had a good knowledge of Espa.
Lunch took a long time to come and then the sandwich was dry as if it had been left under a hot plate, but we didn't have time to send it back as the treatments were booked in.
Staff amazing, treatments were excellent and well worth money. Lunch was fabulous a hot and cold buffet with drink included. Spa facilities were small but very clean and enjoyable.
The spa needs extra seating, there was no where to sit in between treatments and using the facilities. It was very busy and noisy due to children using the pool.
I came for the early bird spa morning by myself which I was a little bit nervous about. I was immediately put at ease and made to feel welcome by Lewis, who showed me around and took me over to breakfast which made me feel comfortable! Fantastic service.

The spa was great. We couldn’t fault it apart from the lack of seating around the pool it’s a good job it wasn’t busy. The treatment was great and the women dong treatments and others working the spa were all lovely.
We all had a wonderful time and the effects of the treatments (facials) were long lasting! The only comment we had were that there were not as many facilities as we had imagined but this did not detract from the day. Would thoroughly recommend!

The treatment rooms where great and relaxation room was nice, pool area probably could do with more lounges and more spacious but causes the hotel itself was lovely didn't mind so much.
I try and get to this spa annually or twice a year if I can so I do like it. The spa is small, only a steak room, small jacuzzi and pool but I book it more for the treatments which are usually good. Staff friendly and nice relaxation area. The spa lunch wasn’t great, stale and not much variety. You get a robe, towel and slippers so that was good. Overall it’s a nice little spa and treatments lovely.
Lovely friendly staff and relaxing treatments. Small and limited relaxation room, only four beds. In the main hotel so memberd of the club and guests coming and going and children allowed in before 11 and after 4 so worth arranging treatments to avoid these times. Lunch is in the main hotel restaurant area, so felt a little self conscious wandering through clothed guests in our white towelling robes . Lunch was fine but service slow so we spent an hour and a half in the restaurant. Over all good value for what we paid . Could be improved by having a small dining room in the spa area itself.
Small pool with no loungers only 2 chairs, around the pool as we went on a thurs wasn’t busy so was ok. Clean changing rooms with showers and hairdryers. Nice relaxation room and treatments very good. Staff were great.

- Food was not good at all, baked beans and jacket potato is not something you want to eat when having a spa day. Also robes were extremely small (I’m size 12) so one size fits all is ridiculous, if I were a lady of a size 18 I would not feel comfortable walking round in a robe that barely closes on a size 12 never mind any larger size.
When arriving to the spa we was welcomed by the staff, we filled out our forms and was given robs, towels and slippers then shown to the changing rooms which were nice and clean. Once we were changed we went into the relaxation room which is always nice shortly after our therapists came to take us to our rooms, we both went for a facial this was the second one I had here and although it was different it was still amazing. Following on from this we then went onto enjoying the pool for a few hours. We enjoyed every minute would definitely recommend to anyone.
The staff are amazing, nothing is too much trouble,my wife is Coeliac and they went to a lot of trouble to make sure she had everything she needed, special thanks to Daniella ( Food & Beverages) and Leigham who looked after us exceptionally well.
The room was very small everytime i walked around the bed i bumped my shoulder on the tv on the wall, no where to put anything, so that was disappointing

Wow, was very nice to celebrate my husband birthday, everything was perfect. I want to said thanks to the lady name Ada at breakfast time she was very special with the birthday desert to my husband. She always smile and caring. The service was perfect. I already recommend to my friends.
The hotel is a lovely place to stay very casual and relaxing staff are very friendly and helpful especially on the check in desk,nothing too much trouble.complimentary parking excellent bonus,check out not until 12 so was able to use spa facilities on second day ,breakfast excellent lots of choice .
We had a fab overnight spa break here, everything was perfect from the minute we walked in. A wonderful welcome from Simon on reception set the tone for the weekend. Great massage, food was lovely, had lunch, dinner and breakfast. Hotel has a lovely atmosphere and in a perfect location to walk to bars and restaurants
Room was lovely lots of space and bed comfortable. Great access to the city and local shops and bars. Only thing we could of needed was a restaurant opening times especially for breakfast
The hotel was brilliant. Great value for money with everything we had included in the package and the hotel overall was very nice. Only improvements would be the toilets didn’t flush very well in our bedrooms, they were also coming away from the wall , showing how much force people have had to use in the past to get the chain to flush.
The hotel was in a good location, very clean and comfy. The spa was amazing and I really enjoyed the treatment. A good variety of food which was delicious. I would definitely recommend this hotel it has everything you need for a break .
The staff were so friendly- hotel, restaurant and spa - they call were welcoming and helpful. We went on a Sunday evening and it was quiet and peaceful. It is clean, and nicely decorated. The dinner and lunch was delicious, with a good amount of choice on the menu for the spa package. I have to mention the breakfast! Very like other hotels of this standard but with little added extras that I loved! Fried eggs were cooked to order, as well as omelettes. They also had smoked salmon and mackerel, everything was fresh and there was so much choice! I would definitely go again!

When booking we were told we would have to upgrade to get twin rooms. One of the rooms was ready when we arrived and was set up as a double room. We spoke to reception and they said they would sort this for us, which they did. The buffet lunch which was included in the package wasn't a buffet at all. We were told to choose off a very basic menu which included salads, panini's and sandwiches. We asked for 4 champagne flutes to be delivered to one of the rooms for 6pm. I ended up phoning down to reception half an hour later to chase them up. During the night, there was an irritating noise coming from one of the vents which went off every two minutes through the night . My friend recorded the noise and played it to reception. I am a very light sleeper, so therefore had a very unsettled night.
We was not happy with car park fees which we did not know about it was £15 parking for the stay. When checking in it was in the wrong name we could not use spa and pool till after booking in time at 3pm would also like bigger robes

The staff at the Crowne Plaza were warm and friendly. From arrival through to front desk staff, bar staff and waiting staff the service was incredible. The Hotel was kept clean the room was of a good standard and size for the money spent. Would definitely recommend.

Really friendly staff made us feel very welcome they let us check in early without extra cost as our room was ready. And so we didn’t have to take all off our luggage into the spa, with the spa it was nice and clean enjoyed the treatments I felt so relaxed after. It’s abit on the small side though we were lucky we went on off peak hate to dread what it would be like really busy. The food was great only thing though we had to cancel our dessert because it was taking to long and we were booked in for treatments. Super comfortable rooms. Would definitely come again.
The food at the restaurant was very good but we found the restaurant to be very cold, both during the day and the in the evening. The waiter had to bring a heater to our table.
The bar area where we had lunch and breakfast was called and found most of the staff unhelpful. The food for breakfast would have been very nice but all the food was cold
The hotel room and hotel was lovely. Unfortunately it was let down by the service and lunch in the bar, although the food was nice. The service was even worse at breakfast. There was no food out on the buffet and when it did come out it was only 1 item at a time. When we asked when all the food would be out we were met by rude staff. (Not the 2 older ladies, there both tried there best as other guest were getting annoyed waiting for food to come out.
I really like this hotel as it’s really close to the town centre.
I think check in is a little late, especially when you havr a spa stay booked as it means leaving your bags with reception and either waiting around to check in or going in to the spa and not being able to go to your room until later.
We upgraded to a superior room which was lovely, bed comfy, toilet/ shower room was large, shower wasn’t the greatest and could be simpler to use.
Reception usually friendly and helpful, although in this occasion I was told the night before I didn’t have a room booked so panic set in but I emailed and messaged on Facebook and it was quickly confirmed I did have a room. With the spa stay we had a light lunch included, the lunch wasn’t great as it was very stale, chips were chewy, salad was left uncovered so the rocket had wilted, no other salad just rocket leaves and wasn’t over the moon with variety. It was much better when you got a light sandwich lunch rather than the buffet style one. Bars are nice and smart. Got breakfast included but sausages and eggs seemed a little undercooked but maybe that’s just my opinion.
May sound like I’m moaning but overall I do like this hotel, there’s just bits that could be better.
The staff were warm and welcoming as we arrived at the front desk, check in was easy and once we got to the room it was just the perfect size for the 2 of us the bed was very comfortable and the hotel is easy to get around. Our lunch, dinner and breakfast were definitely worth every penny.
