Spa Hotels and Spas in Monaghan

Famous for its ancient lace-making tradition, and known for Carrickmacross Lace, Monaghan is understandably proud of its craft. It even has a museum dedicated to its heritage in Carrickmacross itself. Exhibiting some of Ireland’s famously beautiful landscapes, the area is also peppered with small mountains, lakes and forests.

A small town and county, Monaghan still offers visitors plenty to see and do. Amongst the top attractions are the Monaghan County Museum (especially on rainy days) or a visit to the utterly unique St. Peter’s Tin Church Laragh. Go horse riding at the Mullaghmore Equestrian Centre, race around on quad bikes, stroll through Rossmore Forest Park or visit the sparkling Muckno Lake.
