The location is definitely one of Aphrodite’s major draw cards, with views of Britain’s largest natural Lake – Lake Windermere – where a wide range of activities are available from water-skiing and sailing to fishing and hiking. It also overlooks the little town of Bowness with its wide selection of bars, restaurants and shops.

Spa & Leisure

A collection of seventeen individually themed suites, Aphrodites Boutique Hotel is a luxury retreat with a quirky twist in the heart of the Lake District and if total relaxation is what you have in mind, the hotel has plenty on offer without having to venture outside the grounds.

Designed to revive body and mind, the spa aims to detoxify, de-stress and decrease the signs of ageing, with a wide range of treatments varying from massage to body wraps, reflexology to skin refining.

The pool and waterfall Jacuzzi in the conservatory building are infused with natural light during the day or the periodical glow of changing coloured lights at night, while all other facilities such as the sauna, steam room and fitness area are also available to use at your leisure.

Hotel & Accommodation

All the rooms have the benefit of being extremely spacious, and vary in theme from the classical proportions of the Parisian suite to the more playful Tarzan and Jane room, while the spa bathrooms with oversized spa baths (that is to say, big enough for two) are equally large and highlight the hotel’s forte as a couple’s sanctuary.

Of course, the sense of wellbeing would not be complete without careful attention to the hotel menu. The dining room serves breakfast and light meals throughout the day, all of which use organic and locally sourced produce, and evening meals are available a short distance away at Aphrodite’s sister hotel – Windermere Boutique Hotel (about five minutes by car).
