Welcoming guests since the late 19th century, The Netherwood Hotel & Spa is a Victorian mansion on the southern tip of the Lake District with views of Morecambe Bay. The Netherwood Hotel stands on the site of a mansion called “Blawith House”, which was built in the Georgian period. The Deakin family built the property in neo-Elizabethan gothic style and it was completed in 1893. The next owners ran it as a guesthouse. After the Second World War the hotel changed hands several times until in 1966 it was bought by the Fallowfield family, whose extensions and alterations saw the hotel take on its current form. Now it's owned by the Interesting Hotels Group.
