Philema Hospitality Management owns the Budock Vean Hotel in Cornwall, having acquired the property in December 2024.
- How do you get to Budock Vean Hotel?
Set within 65 acres of glorious sub-tropical gardens, woodland, and a golf course, this country house hotel is just a 15-minute drive from the harbour town of Falmouth.
It takes around five hours to get from London to Budock Vean Hotel and Spa. Drive along the M4 motorway from London, or M6 from Manchester, and then the M5 to Exeter and finally either the A30, that is mostly dual carriageway, or the A38 through Plymouth and Saltash.
Alternatively, if you enter Cornwall from North Devon, there is the scenic Atlantic Highway A39 through Bude which you can join from Junction 27 on the M5.
From Truro take the A39 to Falmouth. On the A39 about four miles before Falmouth, you will pick up the brown tourist information road-signs for Glendurgan and Trebah gardens. Follow these signs through Mawnan Smith and continue past Trebah, and after a further half mile and sharp right-hand bend, you will find the entrance to Budock Vean Hotel and Spa.

By train, take the mainline service to Truro station, where you need to change trains and go to Platform One and catch the branch line service to either Penryn or Penmere. From each of these stations the hotel is approximately a six mile trip by taxi.

The Budock Vean Hotel was established as a hotel in 1934, when the manor house was converted into a country house hotel. While the house itself has a history dating back over 200 years, the estate has records of occupation reaching as far back as 1538.

- he front entrance has no steps and is easily accessible
- Check-in can be aided with the use of a clipboard or magnifying glass if required

- Reception has an induction loop to aid those with hearing difficulties
- The cocktail bar, conservatory, all three lounges and the spa are all on the same level as Reception
- The public toilets, including a disabled toilet, are also on the same level as Reception
- They do not have any ground floor bedrooms and access from reception, bar and lounges to the lift means negotiating eight steps
- There is level access from the Golf Bar to the lift and up to bedrooms
- They have designed disabled bedroom which is easily accessible from the lift. The bathroom includes a walk-in shower with seat. The room contains two emergency cords which are linked to Reception.
- The hotel has four self-catering cottages which are situated 50m from the hotel front entrance. They all have allocated parking and in three of the cottages all rooms are at ground level. Ramps are available for access through the front entrance, if required.
- The restaurant is on two levels. To access the main dining room from the bar and lounges you need to descend six steps.
- The swimming pool has two different access points. Firstly, it can be accessed from the main lounges, through the Health Spa and there are nine steps to descend. Secondly, from the outside through our Members Entrance Door, where there are an additional two steps to ascend.
