It has more than 200 rooms and suites decorated with a combination of natural stone and soft textures to create a refined but sumptuous environment. When it comes to food and drink there’s an abundance of choice at Fairmont Windsor Park with six restaurants and bars to choose from as well as private dining and room service. The fine dining, 1215 (named in recognition of the year that the Magna Carta was signed just a short walk from the hotel’s location), is set on the south lawn overlooking the private terrace and gardens. It serves superb British fare using locally grown and reared ingredients from The Royal Farms, Windsor artisans and their very own herb and vegetable gardens. The Executive Chef and Head Sommelier also offer private wine tasting masterclasses. The Moreish Restaurant serves an extensive traditional breakfast and in the evening offers a fusion of European and Middle-Eastern food. Then there’s Greens Cafe - the wellbeing restaurant situated inside the Spa and Wellness facility.
1215 also has an adjoining bar, which is very much the place for dressing up and enjoying fine wines and Champagne. The Library Club is decorated with wood panelling and incorporates authentic features from the original mansion house, such as a cosy fireplace - perfect for cocktails, whiskies and brandies. Finally, Schroder’s Botanicals Bar, connected to Moreish, is the place for smoothies in the morning and local and international gins in the afternoon. You can even book a gin masterclass. The sense of tradition wouldn’t be complete without a dedicated space for afternoon tea, and the Orchid Tea Room does not disappoint. A soothing space dedicated to decadence, it’s where the hotel’s expert Pâtisserie and Chocolatier team present home-made treats with world-class teas and fine Champagne.
