The spa at Manor House, Alsager is a contemporary, purpose-built addition to the historic farmhouse property. Modern architecture lets in lots of natural light, and details have been designed with tranquillity and relaxation in mind.
Facilities include a gym, and a beautiful pool for swimming or simply relaxing in the water - surrounded by loungers and comfortable seating so you can take your time unwinding and enjoying the space. Meanwhile, the courtyard to the hotel greets you with the UK’s first outdoor magnesium-enriched spa pool, flanked by a set of swinging daybeds, designed to be a restful place to stop whilst also helping with muscle recovery, stress relief and improved sleep.
The unique English Country Spa Garden experience is very much the central feature of it all however, where an enchanting 'secret' garden hosts an all-season outdoor spa. There are two swim-up bars, the original, which is the first of its kind in the UK, as well as The Bothy Bar, added in 2025. A hydrotherapy pool is heated to a balmy 37°C (98.6°F), complete with therapeutic jets and integrated seating, while a cold water plunge pool features a cascading waterfall for an invigorating wellness boost. The Finnish sauna is heated to 80°C (176°F) and has an added Himalayan salt wall to aid detox and circulation. The Herb Garden is a unique sensory space where a water feature gently sets the scene, and raised beds are filled with a hand-picked selection of herbs and flowers that scent the air and offer natural beauty. To complete the experience, the greenhouse relaxation lounges are where you can settle in with a good book and a cup of tea; they are tranquil and toasty, with underfloor heating and glass ceilings letting in soothing, natural light.
When it comes to treatments, the spa has nine treatment rooms and offers beautiful therapies inspired by nature and in keeping with the rustic surroundings. Enjoy a Salt Grain Massage, Tribe517 | Sound Asleep Massage l, or Temple Spa | All About The Glow , all feature on the menu. They have prenatal treatments, a holistic approach and a real sense of luxury as well.
In the Cheshire countryside, Manor House, Alsager is a four-star retreat with 42 bedrooms. Close to Stoke-on-Trent as well as Crewe, it’s easily accessible from the M6, but is surrounded by picturesque countryside and pretty grounds that add a sense of tranquillity to the rustic retreat. Rooms are comfy and stylish, complete with all the facilities you need to feel right at home - such as an Apple docking station, tea and coffee making facilities and cosy seating areas.
Set within a former 17th-century farmhouse, The Stables pairs modern design with original features such as oak beams and stone fireplaces. The atmosphere is warm, convivial and relaxed, yet there is still a sense of occasion. The day begins with breakfast, gives way to a light bite lunch menu, and ends with a seasonal dinner menu that changes with the months.
