Matfen Hall is a five-star hotel on a beautiful country estate in Northumberland. It sits on 300 acres of parkland and is a spectacular destination for any spa experience. If you are driving there is free on-site parking as well as electric charging points available. The closest train station is Newcastle Train Station which is a three-minute drive to the hotel. The closest airport is Newcastle International Airport which is a 20-minute drive away. Airport transfers are available by contacting the Guest Relations team. There is also a helipad available at the hotel. Please note the helipad is only available for daylight landing and the hotel requires guests to contact before arrival to book a landing slot.

Matfen Hall is a five-star hotel which was built between 1832 and 1836. It was commissioned by Sir Edward Blackett, the sixth Baronet of Newcastle and designed by renowned architect Thomas Rickman. In 2020 the property was sold to the Walwick Estate Group who spent millions of pounds on refurbishment including the restoring the Grand Hall, creating a new bar and improving the spa and wellness facilities.
