The Beach Club Spa is immaculate. Every inch a space for relaxing and unwinding (or warming up after a dip in the sea). There's a beautiful 12-metre indoor pool, a hydrotherapy pool, indoor relaxation room and outdoor terrace lined with sun loungers, a state-of-the-art gym, and a wellbeing juice bar serving a range of healthy juices plus energy-boosting snacks.
It stands to reason that the spa treatments that they offer are marine inspired and use the acclaimed Temple Spa product line. The spa has its own range of signature treatments, such as a Cashmere and Truffles Body Treatment using Temple Spa's award-winning body truffle crème, as well as a wider collection of delicious Temple Spa classics ranging from an Aaahhh Leg and Foot treatment to a Glorious Mud Body Wrap.
Part of the luxurious Harbour Hotels group, the Harbour Beach Club Hotel and Spa at South Sands is a new hotel in an enviable location, quite literally a stone's throw from the beach. A pristine, contemporary hotel with vast windows letting in lots of natural light and dramatic views of the sea, the hotel sits on one of the coves a short walk (albeit up a couple of sizable hills), just outside the town centre of the popular sailing town of Salcombe. It has 50 rooms and suites, many with east-facing balconies (perfect for watching the sunrise) and sea views, and all of which are decorated in chic coastal style.
This part of South Devon is well known for its local seafood, and at the hotel's Beach Club Bar + Restaurant, they serve it with style. Enjoy cocktails and light bites in the laid back bar, with those ever-present vistas and when the weather allows sit on the restaurant’s wrap-around terrace, taking in the scenery without interruption thanks to the all-glass balustrades. In the evening, tuck into oysters, Salcombe crab or scallops. It's not all seafood however, there are also vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options available. Don't forget to try the ice cream - it's made at Salcombe's very own ice cream factory.
